WHAT WE DID

ALBERT PARK RESIDENCE

Albert Park was a dream location for our clients. Once they found their perfect house, they realised it would need a complete overhaul if they were going to expand their family.
After appointing an architect to design and build the home, the owner brought us in to help finish off the living spaces. Our brief was to connect the old with the new and create a harmonious living space.

The sitting room needed to be a place to entertain in whilst being a relaxed environment. Having already purchased a rug, sofa and side tables, the owner needed help to pull it altogether without compromising the original architecture of the home.

Natalie from Review interiors was great to deal with. She assisted me with some interior design at my house when I was feeling overwhelmed. She listened to my ideas & followed through quickly and efficiently. I was rapt with the end result and would recommend her to anyone.

More about the project...

BANQUETTE

The banquette seating needed something extra to tie in with the other soft furnishings. Fabrics were selected in muted hues and textures to co-ordinate in with the contemporary architecture and to work in with the design of the rug, complementing the relaxed classic charm of the room. Custom seating cushions and a long banquette cushion were made to create a cosy sophisticated seating nook. The minimalistic art pieces were selected to complete the picture.

COFFEE TABLE

The round marble coffee table was added to bring a soft edge and glamourous feel back into the room. This also kept the stone material connecting through to the kitchen splashback and benchtops located at the other end of the house.

LOUNGE ROOM

The back lounge room needed to be an easy maintenance space as this was the kid’s area to play in. The selections to finish off this room was to add a floor lamp, rug, coffee tables, and armchairs. The client also wanted this space to be fun with not much clutter as it was a thoroughfare out to the backyard.

LIGHTING

The lighting was selected by Danielle from Lights Lights Lights, whom I have worked collaboratively with for many years now. Her knowledge and passion for lighting is incredible and an inspiration to me.
